a CAREERS OF THE FALLEN. SERGEANT FRANK COYLE. Sergeant Frank Coyle, killed in action in France, was the eldest son of Mrs. B. Coyle, Raetihi. He was at the time of enlisting clerk in the office of the Defence Department at Paeroa, from which position he was granted leave of absence, and entered camp as a N.C.0., finally sailing with the 17th Reinforcements. ■ He was a popular and capable sergeant, and was expecting to get his commission shortly. PRIVATE W. W. WEBB. Private William Wilson Webb, who died at Walton-on-Thames on December 7, was the only son of Mr. Scth Webb, Cambridge. Before enlisting he was sheep farming at Opotiki. He left New Zealand with the Main Body, and saw service in Egypt and Gallipoli without mishap. When the forces left Egypt for France he went with them as driver in the transport. In March last he was invalided to England for pleurisy. When convalescing in October he was attacked by yellow jaundice and later by peritonitis, these causing his death. His age was 25 years.
