THIRTY SOLDIERS RETURN.
• WOUNDKD ANT> SICK. 1 A batch of ahout thirty sick and > wounded soldiers arrived in Auckland ( yesterday by train from Wellington, where a contingent arrived by transport recently. There were no cot cases in the party, and ' all of the men were able to go home ' immediately on arrivaL As an official , reception was zlven to the contingent when it arrived in Wellington, no formal welcome was tendered at Anckland, it being ] considered that the soldiers would be tired 1 after their lons train lourney and that they , would appreciate the opportunity to go • j straight to their homes.
