HOW TO STOP PAIN IN STOMACH.
THE VALI'K OF MAGNESIA AND HOT WATER, Generations of people have employed hot water as a soother of pain iv the stomach, but modern physicians and specialists have discovered and used successfully an addition which renders the hot 'water trebly efficacious. Hot water is still recommended in all cases of stomach pain, from whatever cau*e arising, but stUl better results are obtained if a little "bisurateJ" magnesia is added. Hot water attracts blood to tie painful part and the "bistirated" magnesia neutralises the acid, which is usually the underlying cause of I the pain. That is why such excellent results follow combination of the two. Readers who are subject to pain in the stomach, especially after eating, should try this hot water and magnesia recipe. It renders dieting quite unnecessary, for by slowly drinking half a glassful of hot water containing half a teaspoonful of ■•blsurated" magnesia immediately after meals the dangerous stomach acids are destroyed, and food reninlns ■'bland and sweet until perfectly digested. Tbe i "blsurated" magnesia, ■which is extensively | used in hospitals, can readily be obtained j from chemists everywhere; but to avoid I confusion with the acetates, citrates, and ' oxides of magnesia or equally unsuitable I mixtures of bismuth and magnesia. It ls - Important that "blsurated" should be asked ! fur very distinctly.—(Ail.). i =
