VERY GENERAL ACTIVITY. LONDON, October 12. A French communique states: Last night was marked by great mutual artillery activity, and a series of German attempts on various parts of the front, including the regions west of Cerny and Jlaison de Champagne and the regions of Souain and Auberive.
