THE FRENCH FRONT.
VERY GENERAL ACTIVITY. LONDON, October 12. A French communique states: Last night was marked by great mutual artillery activity, and a series of German attempts on various parts of the front, including the regions west of Cerny and Jlaison de Champagne and the regions of Souain and Auberive. All these attacks failed. The artillery duel continues in the region of Bezonvaux, on the right bank of the (Meuse.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
