JAPAN'S ENTRY
INTO EUROPEAN THEATRE PREDICTED BY RUSSIA. (Received 8.35 a.m.) LONDON, October 14. A Moscow paper reports the speech of General Alexieff, ex-Commander-in-Chief, in -which he forecasts Japan's entry into the European theatre of war. The United Press Association's Tokyo correspondent quotes the military expert of the newspaper "Nichinichi" as stating that the Allies, after the fall of Riga, asked Japan to send an expedition to Europe, but Japan explained that mobilisation was impracticable.— (A. and N.Z.
