LEATHER AND FRUITS. LONDON, October 14. A "Gazette notice announces that the Army Council is taking over all imported leather. The Food Controller is releasing the whole of the trade's requirements of cheese for October. The bulk will be Canadian, with but little Australian or New Zealand.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.) The Press Bureau announces that the Minister in Charge of Food Control (Lord Rhondda I will take over all currants and sultanas now afloat for Britain at a price to be determined later.— (A. and N.Z. and Reuter.)
