A recommendation from the Tauranga branch of the Farmers' Union, that returned soldiers taking up not less than fifty acres of land be admitted life members of the union, either by nomination through branches or by application to the provincial secretary, came before the Auckland Provincial Executive yesterday The president (Mr. A. A. Ross) stated that the Dominion Executive of the union had already arrived at a decision to admit returned soldiers as members for one year free of subscription. It was decided to advise the Taj/jjaiga branch accordingly. * to
