The death of Dave Gallaher will be leeply regretted by an exceptionally targe circle of friends, for probably no ithlcti- was hitter known throughout tbe norlri than the celebrated captain of the famous "All Blacks." Deceased saw Service during the Boer war, and left for England about 12 months ago with tbe Twenty-second Reinforcements. He leaves ' t widow anil one daughter. Mis Gallaher being at present on a visit to Australia. His brother was killed earlier in the war.
