A MEAN THEFT.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUXEDIN, this day. At the Police Court Charles Lynch was charged with, atAvondale Mental 1 Hospital, stealing a wallet containing a. I soldier's discharge; also with at Auckland obtaining a soldier's badge from the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association by a false pretence. It was stated that, while employed at Avondale. Hospital, accused stole a returned soldier's discharge, and thus obtained a; badge from the Auckland Association. He is at present serving three months with hard labour for obscene language. Accused, who pleaded guilty, »as sentenced to three months' imprisonment.
