CANADA AND CONSCRIPTION
'SILL WILL PASS. (Received 9.15 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 11. The ''New York Tribune's" Ottawa correspondent says that it can now be stated positively that the Conscription Bill will pass through the House, although it may take a month. Supporters of Sir R. L. Borden will carry any war measure. Every member is expected to assemble when the House resumes to-morrow, and huge crowds will probably gather in and around Parlia-. ment House. While Sir Wilfrid Laurier is known to be willing to drop the Liberal leadership, it is extrr-mely doubtful if his followers will allow him. No outstanding Liberal figure commands such general support as Sir Wilfrid Laurier. A General election is not now probable.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.) . .
