CALLING UP U.S. GUARD.

SPLENDID FIT MEN. LONDON, June 3. The "Times" correspondent at Washington states that it is expected that tliere will be an awakening of military enthusiasm throughout America as the result of Dr. Wilson's calling up under the new army law of 120,000 National Guardsmen, who are equivalent to the English Territorials. They are a splendid, lit body, and have had good war training in Mexico and on the frontier. They will probably be sent to the west front in autumn. Another 120,000 will go in the following winter, and thus 250,000 Americans will be fighting before the first draft of 500,000 of the new army is ready next summer. The Aircraft Board is constructing three huge aerodromes for the training of an aviation corps, and 500 airmen will be ready by the end of July. .Itogether 0,000 pilots and 3,50*6 machines will be provided in 191".
