[ON AND OFF THE FIRING LINE, LONDON, Juno 10. Mr Balfour Visiting Paris. The British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Mr A. J. Balfour), who recently visited the United States and Canada, has arivcd in Paris.— (Renter.), Br. Solf and the Lost Colonies. Referring to recent speeches by Lord Robert Cecil (Minister in Charge of the Blockade) and by General Smuts, Dr. Solf (German Colonial Secretary) stated that Germany's colonial programme was very simple and clear. They wanted their colonies back, and then would create welldeveloped colonies properly capable of resistance to invasion.— (A. and N.Z.)

Tlie Dutcli newspaper "Telegraaf" states that the Germans were unable to bring supplies of figb from Holland on Wednesday owing to every available truck being required for ihe transport of wounded soldiers from Zeehrugge and ita neighbourhood, as a result of the naval bombardment and air raids.— (A and N.Z.
