CLAIMS BOARD.
The claims Board of the Auckland Patriot). Association met at the Town •Hail yesterday afternoon. There were present: Messrs. J. H. Gunson (in the c-hair). C. J. Tunks. J. F. Ewen, IJ. D. Heather, and E. Phelan. Thirteen applications for further assistance were granted, and several pensions were supplemented. Two soldiers who were about to leave the Dominion ■were given suitable grants, and the widow of one soldier was helped with the amount of her passage money to Australia, where she joins her relatives. Arrangements were concluded to enable a soldieT to be Bent to Rotorua for treatment. Letters from the Pensions Department intimated that in several instances pension votes had been granted on the representations oi the Claims Board..
