NORTHERN CO.'S WEKA.

SUNK AND REFLOATED. The extremely heavy gales of the week end resulted in the sinking of the small steamer Web, which i« oat of commission and lying in Shoal Kay. ft was found on Sunday morning last that she had gone down, and yesterday afternoon the Harbour Hoard's lire float went to the bay and pumped the vessel out. She was refloated where the tide left her. and after an examination it was found that she had not sprung a leak as far Sr could be seen, though this wds at first thought to be the cause of her going down. It is surmised that during the gales she shipped continual heavy seas and finally filled and sank. No damage -vas done to the small vessel, which is one of the lesser units of the Northern C'o.'s fleet. She has been lying idle in the bay since April of last year.
