Marcel Rutin states that between April 1G and April 30 the English and French captured 40.603 prisoners. 437 fceavy guns, 346 trench mortars, and SS2 macliine guns. The "'Petit Parisien" states that 24 enemy divisions launched on the British front had to be relieved from further partieipaition in the tight. Enemy effectives melted away amazingly.
