Hi a visit is designed to secure,a better understanding for the joint Conduct of "the war. Officials are pleased that such an eminent statesman, has been chosen for the task. It is considered that owing to the attitude of America towards alliances, 3lr. Balfour will handle the delicate subject diplomatically. His mission will begin a. series of conferences with the Allies.
Some newspapers suggest that jMr. Balfour may discuss the question of America agreeing not to take a separate
peace
