LONDON" PRODUCE MARKETS. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S RErORT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The High Commissioner's market report, dated London, March 17, is as follows:— Meat.—Owing to decreasing supplies or home-killed mutton nnd beef, there is a better demand for all descriptions of frozen meat, with the result that Argentine mutton and lamb prices are higher. New Zealand mutton and lamb arc in small supply, and prices are unchanged. New Zealand and Australian mutton, Bjd per lb; ewe mutton, Sid; Argentine mutton, heavyweight I'igd, light lljd. New Zealand lamb, lOd; Argentine lamb, lad. New Zealand bull beef, hinds Od, fores Bjd; Argentine chilled beef, hinds lljd, fores lOjd. Butter.—Prices have easier tendency, and the demand is mostly for salted butter. Unsalted butter is iv slow demand. There have been no arrivals of New Zealand butter this week. Quotations are: 218/ to 224/ per ewt; unsalted, 210/ to 220/. Australian, 200/ to 214/; unsalted, 204/ to 212/; Argentine, 204/ to 200/; American creamery, 214/. Cheese.—The market continues firm, and stocks are very light. Canadian, white and coloured, 120/6 (?). Hemp.—The market is firm, with an upward tendency. There is a general and active demand owing to stocks being almost exhausted. Good fair New Zealand, £73; fair, £70; Government graded fair Manila, £92; coarse, £77; March to May shipment, good fair New Zealand, £71; fair, £68; Government graded fair Manila, £90; coarse, £75. These prices are obtainable if shipment can be guaranteed. Wheat—The 'market is firm, -with an improved demand, but very little is offered in the market. Australian, 84/; Canadian, S2/; Argentina, 81/. Oats.—The markets are active and advancing. Supplies are decreasing. New Zealand, 52/.
