A BATHER DROWNED.

_ (By Telegraph.:—Press Association.). HASTINGS, this day. Frank Wateon, a farmer and etock dealer resident in Karamu _toad, -aged 50, was drowned while bathing in the Waimarama yesterday. Messrs D. A. Graham and H. W. Waters vainly attempted to rescue Watson, and reached the shore exhausted. 31r_. Wateon and many ©Chens witnessed tho fatality, but were powerless to help.
