WOMEN'S WAR WORK.
OFFICIAL RECOGNITION IN NEW EMPIKE ORDER. (Australian and N.Z. Cnble Association.) LONDON, January 7. Agitation is afoot tliat women should he admitted to the new Empire Order, membership of which will not necessarily carry a' kmphthood. In an interview, Mr W. F. JUass-y (I'rimc Minister of New Zealand; B!>id that if the new honour is to be given to men of thp Empire it is only right and proper that it should be extend-"! to MOini'ii of the Empire, thus recognising the splendid work the women have done throughout the war. Tn New Zealand women of every rank have come forward, and have not failed to perform any task that was set for them.
