RUSSIAN ATTACK ON NORTHERN LINE.
ENEMY ADMITS THAT PROGRESS WAS MADE.
LOXDOX, January 7. A German communique states:—"The Russians attacked and penetrated positions in the regions between the coast at Mitau and the Riga high road. "We are making counter-attacks." A Russian communique states: —"We attacked and occupied a position Boar Kalntzen, south-west of Riga. The enemy compelled us to withdraw two jniles southwards of Kotumba."
