FRENCHMEN INVENT RUBBER

LONDON, October 6.
Two Frenchmen have invented an artificial eye made of rubber. The front surface is vulcanised, and the back is enamelled. The eye is hollow and filled with air. It is remarkably responsive to the movements of the nerves, does not irritate the socket, and a further advantage is that it is unbreakable.
