FUSILIER'S GALLANTRY.
PRISONERS TAHXW BT WOUNDED OFFICER. (Tne "Times. ,, ) LONDON, July 13. A correspondent of the 'Times, ,, describing incidents of the Contalmaison fight, states that a Northumberland Fusilier was sent back with a message He was mortally wounded, but struggled on till he reached an advanced British post, and had only enough strength left to point to hie tunic. Then he died. A lieutenant in the Yorkshires w.as wounded twice. After twelve hours he managed to crawl back in the darkness. On the way he found two unwounded Germane hiding in a ehell hole and brought them in as prisoners with the help of his revolver. It has now been proved that the German machine-gunners are tied to their guns. One was discovered fastened by straps on his insteps to staples drrren into the ground. A chain round hi* waiet fastened him to the gun.
