PERSONAL.
Mr. H. H. Ostler left lor Wellington by the midday express. The Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey (Prime Minister) is expected to visit his own electorate early next week. Dr. V. P. Marsden -was a passenger to Wellington by the Arawa. His. destination is Auckland. Mr. E. C. Browne left for Wellington by the express, and is expected to return in about a fortnight. The Rev. Patrick O'Neill, of Riverdale, Otago, is to accompany the reinforcements to the front. Commissioner H. C. Hoddcr and Colonel A. Powley, of the Salvation Army, left for Wellington by the express.' The Hon. Dr. R. McNab, Minister for Marine and Justice, left for Waihi to-day, and will deliver ft recruiting speech there this evening. To-morrow he.proposes to visit Ngaruawahia, and on Saturday, Te .Aroha, returning to Auckland that -evening. Dr. H. W. Cleary, Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland, intends to visit Rome shortly. Advantage will be taken of the concert in the Town Hall tomorrow night for the priests and laity to publicly say farewell to the Bishop. Thecßev. J. and Mrs. Dickie, of Port Chalmers; the Rev. AL and Mrs. -Prater, of Canterbury; and the Rev. C. and Mrs. Kennedy, of Wellington, were passengers by the Arawa from London to Wellington. Chaplain-Captain Angus McDonald, who returned some time ago from the front, is expected arrive in Auckland about the 22nd of this month. Arrangements ' are being made for ChaplainCaptain McDonald to deliver an address in ..the concert chamber of the Town Hall, under the aegis of the Auddand Presbytery. .„.';.:
