CONCRETE FOUNDATIONS SWEPT ' AWAY. HAMILTON, this day. A heavy gale sprang up at Kawhia parly this morning, accompanied by a bin sea. The breakers dashed over the waterfront, washing away a large portion of the breastwork and sweeping away the concrete foundation* of the Kawhia County Council's now offices which are in course of erection. A strong wind is still blowing directly into the harbour, and tliousrii the tide is at present receding, it is a ~ntioipated that the tide to-ni<jht will rise considerably higher than it did this morning, and that a good deal mon; damage will be done.
