FATAL ACCIDENT.

WATERSIDE WORKER KILLED.

A fatal accident occurred at the Qiieen Street wharf this morning, by wjnch a waterside worker named David Walker lost hw life. Deceased, a married man, was employed loading flour on to a vessel at the Queen's wharf. He was etandinj on a btaainp. when the vessel swayed, and the unfortunate man fell and was jammed between the floating piles and the vessel. Death was instantancoup.

Walker had been employed on the wharf for about two yenra, previous to which he was a. bush contractor, and at one time owned a hotel in Grey Street. The body was conveyed to the morgue in the waterside workers' ambulance, pending an inquiry.
