GERMAN MINE FIRED.
BRITISH OCCUPY CRATER. LONDON, January 23. A German communique states: —"Our mines destroyed 75 yards of trenchee south-east of Ypres." Sir Douglas Haig reports: "The enemy sprung a mine near the Comines Canal. We occupied the crater."
