infectious diseases statistics. * (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, this day. During the past year 20 cases of infectious disease ,were notified to the local health inspector. Of these six were scarlet fever, nine diphtheria and five en-, terie. For the preceding five yeare the highest total'was in 1911, when 24 cases were notified, and the lowest in 1!)13, when the number did not exceed nine. The inspector in his report states that the majority of the cases came from the unsewered parts of the town, while one was from an outside district, reducing the total to 19. . The figures were considered very satisfactory by the Hamilton Borough Council, last night.
