TOURISTS' ADVENTURE.
A THRILLING EXPERIENCE. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.'O DTJN-EDIN, this day. A touring party, including Professor Benham, Dr. Riley, and Dr. McKellar, had a unique and somewhat thrilling experience during a trip to the West Coast, via Haast Pass, Br. Riley having a marvellous escape. While the party were proceeding over the track a portion of it gave way, and the horse's forofeet went over the edge of a ledge. The doctor threw himself clear of his horse, but went over and fell on to a ledge about 30 feet below. Fortunately, he was not hurt. Tile horse and pack fell about 1,200 feet down a cliff. Aβ Dγ. Riley was in the rear of the party, he was not missed for some time, and , \vho,n his companions returned to discover what was wrong, they found him scrambling up the cliff, very little the worse of his perilous adventure.
