NO PEACE TILL GERMANY IS THRASHED.
EARL DERBY SATISFIED THAT THE EMPIRE CAN DO IT. NEW YORK, January 20. The London correspondent of the "New York Herald" had an interview with the Earl of Derby, who said:—"We will hang on the fight until the' Germans are thoroughly thrashed. The Empire will find the men to do it. The response to the call for volunteers is more than gratifying. You sec how they are pouring in from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and all the Empire outposts. Many thousands are paying their way for the proud privilege of fighting for the Motherland." , 1
