A DANGER AT SHELLY BEACH.
(To the Editor.) , Sir,—l want to draw attention to a etate of affairs which is becoming a eerious menace to bathere at Shelly Beach, Ponspnby. On Sunday last the writer of this letter received a severe blow on the eide of the head, to the accompaniment of derisive lauglie from the oecuj>ante of a boat, and on another occasion lady was run down and suffered a severe shock. My purpose in penning these few linee is that the City Council may instruct the officers patrolling the beach to keep euch craft at a'gafe distance, and compel them to land on the eastern side of the bath house.—l am, .etc., SE3XOTL
