GERMANS' CURIOSITY LEADS TO HEAVY LOSS. (Received 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, January 19. After the Germans had brought down a British aeroplane at Fricourt, their artillery threw 150 shells on tlio spot where the machine fell, behind the. British lines. The Germans, in their excitement, rose from their trenches, and the British, expecting this, concentrated the lire of their guns and swept the German parapets, causing heavy loss.
