SPACE FOR MEAT.
MORE SPACE ALLOTTED. Mr. A. A. Ross, Auckland provincial president of the Farmers' Union, who has been in communication with the Prime Minister, regarding the shortage of frozen meat space in oversea steamers calling at Auckland, received the following wire from Mr. Massey yesterday afternoon: — " With reference to youT letter of 17th inst.. I have conferred with the Overseas Shipowners' Committee, and it has now been arranged for the Committee to i*ke 2,000 additional carcases. Tt has further been arranged, after the inward cargo in one of the holds of the Tainui has been discharged, to cool down the hold, and take in 12,000 carcases on or about January 28. The committee had expected that the Indrapura, shortly due in Auckland, would have been able to load meat in Auckland contemporary with the discharge of the inward cargo, but it is now found that this is not (Signed) W. F. Massey. Lessons in vocal and pianoforte training will in future be given by Mr Walter Inipett at his new studio, Brunswick Buildings, Queen Street. Many of Mr Impett's pupils now occupy lucrative positions in the musical world, and have been successful both as teachers and in a concert capacity.
