CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT. SECTION PLAY CONTINUED. PLAYING CONDITIONS IMFItOVE. THREE TEAMS UNBEATEN. The Christinas tournament of the Auckland Bowling Centre was continued to-day in more favourable weather and on greens which had 'hardened up considerably und«r the influence of mild sunshine. Six greens, each with ten rinks, were occupied at 9 a.m., and thereafter section play progressed with results which ensure some lively contests in the senri-flnals and final.
Tn Section A, Surman's team (Mt. Edon) increased his lead to four wins, his challengers being . Dr. Hardie Neil (Auckland) and Scott (West End), each with three wins. Progressive honours in section B are held by George's team (Onehunga)—four wins. Four other skips each have three wins. The competition in this section is close. Tn section C three wins each have, boon obtained by V. Casey (Ponsonby), Oatland (Onpluinga), and Jenkin (Rocky Nook). The score cards for section D show three wins each to McLeod (Ponsonbv). MeTntvrc (Devonport) and Wrathall (St. TTelier's). Tn section X rviham (Ponsonby) and Harvey (Devon?nrt\ have each scored two wins, while throe oth.-rs have two each. Section T? has produced another "possible" in Stevenson (Calliope) who has four wins, while none of 'his challengers have more thnn two.
