It in nlmost certain, however, that, as the result of the Commission V investigations and dcliberationl, the number of the education districts will be reduced to nine, ac follows:—Auqkland, Egmont (including Taranaki and Wanga nui), Wellington (eamo boundaries as at present). Hawku's Hay (taking in part of the East Const at present attached to Auckland district), Nelson (including the present Marlborough and Nelson district*), North Canterbury (taking in Westland). South Canterbury. Otago. and Southland. Tho last three arg practically unaltered.
