COUNTING UP THE COST
OF CITY ADMINISTRATIOA. FIXING ESTIMATES AND RATES. A special meeting of the City Council was held last night to consider the e=ti-1 mates of receipts and expenditure for the current year. The Mayor, Mr. J. 11. Gunson, presided. The discussion was held in committee, and the estimates, as shown below, were adopted. The estimated receipts totalled .Cl(>o,2:(t> 17 1, and the expenditure j £201,445 12, (i, leaving an additional sum required of £ 101,20S 15/5.
