At the trial of Robert Irvingdale and Henry Wilson, partners in the wellknown firm of Jacks and Company, iron merchants, of Glasgow, on a charge of selling Krttpps 7.500 tons of iron ore, an accountant who gave evidence said that the firm appeared to bo merely a selling agent for a company of Nova Scotia. The defendant Wilson, in evidence, said that bis firm had acted solely as agents for the Nova Scotia conipanv. The firm had an eighteenth share in the capital of the /ont|>any.
