The few who reached the parapet of the trench tvere killed, but the majority fell bciore reaching the trenches. Fifty were killed, including the leader. Stronc bombing parties nl-o led an attack on trenches we had captured on Saturday night, and forced n= back 3D yards till daybreak. Our machineguns then eafil-aded the evacuated trench, and the Dublin Fusiliers attacked with tiie bayonet. They teoccupied the trench, in which 200 dead Turks were found. Our casualties were slight.
