NO PRISONERS WANTED.
A SUSPICIOUS ORDER IN A GERMAN DIARY. (Times and Sydney Sun Services.) (Received 8.30 a.m.) r a LOXDON, February 2G. I "Eye-witnrtv." with the British Head- I quarters, relates that a captured Ger- 1 man officer's diary contained an order i to the effect that the front line, when ( attacking, mitet not takf prisoners. The t order is ambiguously phrased, and might I mean that the attackers were not to etop tii take prisoners, but it aleo allowed i another interpretation, remembering the t vflortts to inflame the soldiers against the English. The same regiment was pre- * vioutly ordered that no English prisoners < vere wanted. f : 1
