The entries received for the open events in connection with the waterside workers' picnic on Wednesday next are very satisfactory, seeing that they are held on an off-day. i During the week appHcatione for the I removal of disqualifications were received from R. The programme from Warkworth is to hand, and it shows considerable increase on the prize money offered last year. Arrangements have been made with the N'.S.S. Co. for a boat to run in connection with the sports, and a* the trip is a, cheap and pleasant one, competitors will no doubt nominate lib- : orally. 1 Tho programme for Maungatapere ia a very good one, axemen being particularly well catered for.
