McLeod was entertaining j. crowd with tin exhibition of "crack " .shooting, members of the audience being invited to hold up <-oi«i- which .McLeod boTcl holes through with Vullets ait a few yard-: distance. A young man named Leslie Wilt-on, aged about 2~>. a resident of Xewatea-d, accepted the invitation. McLeod fixed, the cigarette fell, and Wilson threw up hi-* a.rni.s and dropped to Ihe ground with a. groan. eho(. through the cheek.
