GORED TO DEATH.
BTTIX KILLS FARMER. FATALITY AT HUAXUL (By TVlecrapu.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREL this da-. r.yiii-r in a paddock, frightfully mangled, and with every evidence of having l>een gored to death by one at his bulls, the body of ilr. * Hundley Hutthiiwn, a well known firmer and .stock raiser u f Iluanui, near "Whangarei, was discovered last evening. I Deceased, who "wx- at one time president of the Whangarei Agricultural Society, leaves a "widow, three dangfatera and a son. the latter at present being in Auckland.
At the inquest io-day evidence was given that 11 r Hutchinson went out in the afternoon to look a* some cows, and as he did not return his sons m»di; search without avail till their attention was attracted by a bull roaring in a clump of trees. The bull attacked them, but was driven off by their dogs. The body of deceased was found against a, tree stump. Medical aid was summoned, and it was then found that Mr Hutchinson had been dead about an hour. The bull had evidently crushed Ws chest in, severely goring and tossing him. A verdict of ""Accidental death" was returned.
