She could not accompany him -herself, so she placed him in charge of Zip, the oldest freak In the circus. Zip entertained Seth for about twenty minutes, and then -went off and forgot all about hi to. This did not appear to anno; Selh. He wandered over to the fat lajy and tarried with ncr awhile. Then he saw Jack, tbe young Nubian Jion, which bad been freed from its box. That was the last for some time that anybody could lind of Seth. About 3.30 o'clock .Mrs Siegrist came out to get her child. He wasn't with tbe freaks nor was Jack In the vicinity. Alarmed, she asked the man who I assist in looking after the girafTes to hunt up her son. He scurried around, but could I not get a clue. Then tbe assistant trainer lof tbe elephants engaged in the search. |At 4 o'clock he found Seth and Jack asleep jin n pile of hay near the elephants. Seth I had his arms around Jack's neck and both ' seemed to be perfectly happy.
