STOUT Or THE DEFENCE. WOMAN IN THE CASE. LONDON, February 24. • The hearing in the Police Court of the charge against John Starchfield of having murdered his son, whose body V^! 0 " 1 " 1 in a railway carriage on the ■North London railway was continued yesterday. Inspector Cough stated in evidence that Starchfield was released the day after the murder in consequence of police inquiries as to his moveme.nts just prior to the murder. He added that several persons who identified the boy in the mortuary, stated that they saw" the boy with a woman. The defence indicated the ability to show that a woman committed" the murder.
