MURDER AND SUICIDE.
COOK'S MAS CRIME. (Received 11.35 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Oswald Coutts. the son of Councillor Contts, a Justice of the Peace, was shot by a cook, whose name is unknown. It appears that a dispute arose through the coolt desiring to leave Coutts' service, the latter wishing him to remain. After firing the first shot the cook reloaded the gun, and, saying, "I'll make sure of him," blew the top of his skull off. * He then took poison and died.
