AGRICULTURAL SCHOOLS.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PAUMERSTON NORTH, Thursday. At a meeting o-f the Wellington Provincial Executive of the Farmers' Union, held here to-day, the question of agricultural high schools was brought up by Mr. Matheson, ■wbo referred to the importance of the subject. He would like to see an agricultural higih echool in every province, and he moved that if the futuTe of our boys is to be considered —and it will be seen that a majority of them should be engaged in agricultural pursuits—-no scheme of education is sound that does not provide for agricultural high schools; and the executive urges the Minister for Education to establish such schools. The motion was heartily endorsed and carried.
