THE PROFESSIONAL CAJtNTVAX

CONCLUDING DAY,

The professional athletic carnival, held under the auspices of the Auckland Centre of the, New Zealand Athletic Union, in connection wifch the : ' Exhibition, will be concluded on the Domain to-morrow afternoon. On Monday and Wednesday eveniDg the heats of the 75yda and 120 yds Sheffield Handicap were decided, and to-morrow the finals will be run. In addition, the 100 yds and 440 yds championships, the half-mile " bicycle championship, and the pipe bands competition /will also come up for decision, so that a great afternoon's sport should result. In respect to the difficulty that has arisen in connection with the dancing competition, a friendly conference is to be held this evening, between the competitors who withdrew on Wednesday and the judge, when the probabilities are that the differences will be amicably adjusted. The first event is timed for 2 p.m.
