MAGISTERIAL CHANGES.
(By Telegraph. —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday, j It is announced that Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M., has been appointed senior stipen- ! diary magistrate at Wellington in succession to the late Dr McArthur. Mr I D. G. A. Cooper, at present registrar and : sheriff of the Supreme Court, Wellington, has been appointed to succeed Mr Riddell as second magistrate here. It is understood that he will take up his new duties | early in the coming year. Mr J. S. Evans, | S.M., who has been relieving magistrate j at Wellington since Dr McArthur's death, ! will probably return to his own district j (Nelson) shortly.
