XEW ZEALAXDERS ABROAD. (.From Our .Special Correspondent.) LOxboX, November 14. The High Commissioner and Ilr. T. E. Donne, went down to Tilbury on Thursday to the departure of 54G emigrants by the Mamari for Xew Zealand. Amongst" them are 93 domestic servants. Mr. R. Charles Webb, of Christchureh, who has been in England for some time investigating the establishment of a wood pulp and newspaper making factory in Xew Zealand, has just returned from the Continent, where be visited Switzerland and Germany. While in Switzerland he j was present* at the bulk test of Xew Zealand timbers in a paper mill at Landquart. It is understood the result was satisfactory. Mr. Webb returned through Zurich, where he visited the work.; of Messrs. Etcher. Wyss and Co.. famous makers of engineering machinery, then went on to Ravensburg, in Germany, to i the same firm's branch for paper macbinI erv. Then again to Laudenburg. where ! the works of Messrs. Hemmer Bros, were I inspected. He intends remaining in | London for a few days, and will return Ito Xew Zealand via Australia.

Mr. Harold Cook, of Auckland, arrived by the Orvieto last week, and intends to spend some considerable time here looking into business methods. Later be goes to the United States ou the same mission.

Mr. -T. 11. C, Hunter, of Auckland, who has been over here since June, has sailed by the Mauretania for Xew York. He later catches the Xiagara at Vancouver for home.

Among the recent additions to the Xew Zealand fellowship of the Royal Colonial Institute have been Mr. W. Edmond -Brown, Mr. Frederick F. Miles, and Mr. Frederick W. Haybittie.
