VALUABLE BEQUESTS.
GIFT PARK FOE INVERCARGILL. (By Telegraph,—Own Correspondent.) INVERCARGILL, this day. T-t is understood that Mr John Feldwick, who was a bachelor, left property valued at £50,000 and an endowment valued at £20.000 to the Invercargill Borough Council, to be invested in freehold security, Government and county council debentures, and the interest devoted to the development and maintenance of Victoria Park, situated threequarters of a mile from the Chief Post Office. Very little development work has been done so far. Tie land is practically a bare paddock. Three nieces of deceased, wiio are daughters of the late Hon. Henry Feldwick, now resident in London, have been bequeathed £5.000 each, and the residue is divided amongst the deceased's .brothers and sisters.
