SUPREME COURT CASES.

CIVIL, SESSIONS NEXT WEEK. I A HEAVY LIST. The time for lodging cases to be dealt with at the Civil Sessions of the Auckland Supreme Court, opening on Monday, 11th inst, closed last evening. In ail 31 suits have been filed, involving in many case 3 large sums of money, and both Mr. Justice Edwards and Mr. Justice Cooper will be occupied in coping with the business. The list includes four libel and slander actions and two claims for breach of promise, the plaintiff in one claiming £6,000 as damages. Mr. Justice Cooper will hold a sitting in Chamuers at 11 *Jn. on Friday next to go through the li»t with counsel and suitably arrange the time for the hearing of tbe various cases. William Lalton (Mr. Baaley) v. Manures. Ltd.. James Samuel Dickson, William Alfred Taylor, James Gartside Culpau, John Rountw (Mr. Skelton), £625 and interest, moneys alleged to have been paid. Ernest Gerard (Mr- Brown) v. Herbert Francis and Alfred Bevins (Mr. Coleman), £2075. moneys alleged to be due.

John Fuller (Mr. McGregor) v. Triad, Limited (Mr. D. M. Findlay), £501 damages for alleged! libel. Thomas Walsh (Mr. Newton) v. the New Zealand Federation of Labour (Mr. Dickson), £1000 for alleged libel.

Dudley Bruce Hill (Mr. Murdoch) v. the King (the HoZU J. A. Tole. K.C.), £1000 damages for tdleged negligence by H.M. Government.

Linda Daniel (Mr. Singer) v. Richard Chambers Knowle» (no defence filed), £501 damages for ft&eged breach of promise.

William James Handcock (Mr. Kent) v. the Auckland Electric Tramways Company, Limited (Mr. Reed. K.C.), £100 general damages and £42 3/6 special damages for alleged negligence.

Henry Meadows (Mr. Peak) v. Briscoe and Co., Limited (no defence filed), £54 special damages and £440 general damages for alleged negligence.
